How Duels work.
A head-to-head challenge between two Slaves over a fixed window, scored from your real activity - no separate game to play, just whoever performs better at what you already do.
🔒 Who can duel
Both sides need to be Slaves with an active lock. You can't challenge or accept a duel while unlocked, and a Keyholder account can't take part at all - there's no personal streak or task history for either side to compete over.
🎯 Starting a duel
Open the Duels page and use Challenge Someone, or challenge someone straight from their profile with the ⚔️ Challenge to Duel button. Type at least 3 letters of a nickname - only Slaves eligible to actually accept show up.
They'll get a notification and need to accept before anything starts. They can decline instead, and you can cancel your own challenge any time before they respond.
🥊 Categories
Pick one or more - you don't need to select them all. Each one is scored separately over the duel's window:

"Perfect Streak" is your best streak reached during the duel, not your streak going in - so a fresh streak started the day the duel begins counts fully.
⏱ Duration & winner bonus
Choose how long the duel runs when you send the challenge - it starts counting the moment the other side accepts, not when you send it. The longer the duel, the bigger the bonus paid to whoever wins:

🏆 How a winner is decided
Each category you chose is its own mini-contest: whoever has the higher total for that stat wins it - a tie in that one category counts toward neither side. Win more categories than your opponent and you win the whole duel. Win the same number each and the duel ends in a draw.
Nothing is self-reported - every number comes straight from your real task completions, likes, comments and photos during the window, the same data your weekly and monthly recap uses. You can open the duel any time it's active to see the live score.
✦ Point stakes (optional)
Add a stake of up to 200 points when you send the challenge - purely optional, 0 is fine. Both sides need enough points to cover it the moment the challenge is accepted, or the duel fails to start and nothing is taken.
- Win: you get both stakes plus the duration bonus above.
- Lose: your points are gone.
- Draw: both stakes are returned in full, no bonus either side.
📢 Public feed & history
Active and recently finished duels between other members show up in a public feed on the Duels page, so you can watch how the community is doing without being part of it - it respects blocking and private profiles like everywhere else. Your own last 10 finished duels stay in your history, win, lose or draw.
🏅 Duelist badge
Every duel you win counts toward the Duelist badge ladder, same as your other badges - each tier unlocked pays +25 points on top of the win itself.
