Linking with a Keyholder.
How to connect a Slave and a Keyholder account, and exactly what changes for both sides once the link is active.
🔑 What a Keyholder link is
A Keyholder link connects one Keyholder account to one Slave account. Once it's active, the Keyholder takes over deciding when the Slave's lock ends and can assign tasks directly. It's entirely optional, requires both sides to agree before it starts, and either side can end it again at any time. You can only have one active link at a time - as a Slave or as a Keyholder.
🧷 As a Slave: request a Keyholder
Go to Settings → Lock settings - or, if you haven't started a lock yet, you'll be offered this choice right there before you begin. Enter their exact nickname under "Hand control to a Keyholder" and send the request. They have 3 days to respond; if they don't, or they decline, you're free to try someone else. You can withdraw your own request at any time while it's still pending.
🔗 As a Keyholder: request a Slave
From your Keyholder panel, use "Find a Slave" and enter their exact nickname. They'll get a notification and see your request either before they start a lock, or under Settings → Lock settings if they're already locked. Same 3-day window applies for them to accept or decline.
✅ Accepting a request
Whoever receives the request can accept or decline it from wherever it's shown to them. Accepting one request automatically declines any other pending requests on that account - remember, only one active link at a time. If a Slave accepts a Keyholder's request with no active lock yet, one starts immediately under that Keyholder's control.
🔒 What a Keyholder can do once linked

🚫 What a Keyholder can't do
A Keyholder does not automatically see photos a Slave has hidden under Settings → Privacy - only the Slave themselves and site admins can. Linking also doesn't bypass blocking, and it's entirely separate from the one-off "Give Task" button any member can use on any Slave's profile - that always still needs the Slave's own accept or decline, link or no link.
🏷️ How it shows up
Once linked, the Slave's profile displays MY KEYHOLDER: @nickname, linking straight to them. The Keyholder's own profile carries the gold KEYHOLDER identity, and their Keyholder panel lists every Slave currently under their control in one place.
🔚 Ending the link
Either side can end it whenever they want - a Slave from Settings → Lock settings, a Keyholder from their Keyholder panel. The Slave's lock keeps running exactly as it was, just self-managed again from that point on.
